Back to normal

Everyone in the house is better, thank goodness! I have nearly everything caught up... Just laundry left to do
and fold.
I have been busy creating even with everyone sick. More so in some ways because I was not running around half the day. I have still kept up on my resolution to make one a day.

I made this little blue dog plush toy for my littlest one. It matches her quilt material I made her the Christmas before last. Pictured below.

I made a new batch of soap it is 2 thirds olive oil and 1 third Shea butter with Rosemary and Lavender. It ifs super moisturizing and ifs my favorite winter time soap. Pictured below

I have made a few dozen boxes. Pictured below.

I always am making fresh batches of my lotions & potions as well.

There is a nice little update

New product ideas

A few weeks ago I write about getting in the process of making an affordable all natural deodorant. I am very happy with one recipe in particular. The real test will be in the summer heat but I have switched over to it completely.

I am in the works of making a few other new products as well. A new face cream, sugar scrubs, mineral scrubs, and the trickiest of all liquid soaps including shampoos. So this year will bring some great new products.

It excites me to make new products. I love the research, designing new labels etc.

Little Dragon Chocker

Just finished this polymer clay and ribbon choker.

Plus Size Corsets

I have always loved corsets but for a plus size girl it can be hard to find one that is afford and well made.  I always thought that it would be a complex thing to sew. I didn't know how to use a pattern and I did not have any idea what all the sewing terms meant. But that was then and this is now. A while back I had a friend that I chatted with. She mentioned how hard it is to fine plus size corsets and we talked about working together to make corsets. Well even tho that was a friendship that faded with a big bang that is now in the past, she did get my wheels turning, and I am very grateful to her for doing so.

Over the years I have gained a lot of knowledge in sewing, my confidence with sewing is better, I have read and completed many projects both with patterns and some freehand and from my own invention. I am no longer intimidated by the idea of taking on a project like this.

I have spent the past month looking for corset patterns I now have 5 patterns I like and in different sizes. So Finally starting my first corset pattern. I picked the most strait forward plus size one I could find. Yesterday I had a little shopping spree at the craft store, it was fun, quite and kid-less. I picked out a pretty black and dark grey material, black cord, black grey ribbon, boning. I have the pattern and materials all cut and today I hope to get sewing.

New years resolution

I thought out my new year resolutions very carefully this year. I have three,  get more organized, get healthy and to create at least one thing a day.

The first one to get organized was also one from last year. I did really good over the past year. I have adopted many new ways to organize but I still need to work on this.

Getting healthy..... This is always a goal, but I want it to be a top priory.

Last but not least I want to create at least one thing a day. So here is todays creation. It is a pencil roll. I didn't have a Patten so I just eyed it. But it came out pretty good.
