Review- Grace Notes Gifts MULLED CIDER Soy Wax Tarts

Links to Grace Notes Gifts

From the products listing at Grace Note Gifts-"Mulled Cider: Enjoy a spicy bouquet of apple & clove with topnotes of cinnamon and orange. A warm, musky finish completes this favorite fall scent! No dye added. Favorite Fact: Every Christmas Eve my grandmother makes a big pot of wassail...this reminds me of that scent, and is perfect for fall afternoons and winter evenings! It's  one of my personal favorites!"

My personal thoughts on Grace Note Gifts- Grace the owner is a wonderful seller to work with and she has some wonderful items in her shop! I recently purchased  her fall scented soy wax tarts called Mulled Cider. It quickly became my favorite scent that I have ever used in my wax warmer. The scent takes you right a fall day. On a nice cool crisp autumn day with the wind blowing around a rainbow of leaves coming into a nice warm house with this scent on to welcome you will be a nice treat! The whole family loves this scent. Best of all it did not bother my allergies. I look forward to trying more of her wonderful scents. Key Lime Pie & Pumpkin Souffle are the next two I am going to try. Grace notes also has other gift items in her shop like jewelry and stationary.

Thing I like about this product- I absolutely love that they do not have color added to them. I really do not like things added to products that do not need to be there. In the listing Grace writes that they last 8-12 hrs but I find they last near 15 hrs in my warmer before I need to start with a new wax tart.

Over all review of service and product- The wax tarts are very reasonably priced . Grace shipped my order quickly. The product was well packaged and her shipping rates are very fair. Her description of the scent was right on and true. The scent lasted longer then expectations. I strongly recommend Grace Notes Gifts Soy Wax Tarts.

Friday Feature- Rosie's Cozy Critters

Describe yourself in 3 sentences.
I'm Rosie, I'm a stay-at-home mom to four little bundles of energy!  I spend most of my time with my kids and husband, but I make a little time each day to devote to crafting, which is my passion.  I love creating things, especially things that will be useful!

How did you name your business?
Well, I always call my pets little critters, and the things I make for them are cozy!  Cozy Critters was the first thing that popped into my head when I thought about selling!

How long have you been doing your art/craft for?
I've been sewing and working with wax since a very young age, probably about 20 years or so now.  My mom taught me how to sew as a young girl, and my obsession with candles began as a teenager.  At that time, I was making candles and soap, but found that candle making was more fun for me!

What inspires and influences your work?
Nature.  Most animals love to burrow, which is why cuddle bags are great for all kinds of animals.  I love to take my favorite scents from nature and recreate them for other people in my wax products.  There's magic in finding just the right mixture of oils to produce the best scent possible.  I also love to cook, so a lot of my scents reflect that, as well.

Where can you artwork/pieces be found?
Cozy Critters has a facebook page at www.facebook.com/rosiescozycritters.  I also have an etsy shop, www.rosiescozycritters.etsy.com, and a website,www.rosiescozycritters.webs.com

What do you do when your not creating?
Taking care of my home and 4 children is my top priority.  I love helping them to bring out their creative energy and use it in a positive way!

What is your favorite piece(s) that you have created?
I love the rainbow candles I've created!
Bouquet Melt Sampler Pack

Why did you create this piece(s)?
My daughter is obsessed with rainbows right now, so it just seemed natural to make rainbow candles for her!

What do you feel is special about your art/craft?
I believe that when someone loves what they do, it shows in what they create.  Each one of my items is unique, and I take the time to make sure they reflect how much I love to create.

Are there other forms of art and crafts you would like to learn? And why?
I dabbled in jewelry making when I was a teen, and would like to get into it again.  I really like how you can make totally unique items that stand out with jewelry.

Review- Country Folks Soap Candles

I am always on the look out for a good lavender scented candle and I love to buy local handmade product. So while browsing Country Folks shop before Mother's Day I spotted her Dream Fetcher. This wonderful smelling candle is a combination of  lavender, spicy sage and sweet basil.  I must say this is the best smelling lavender blend I have smelled. It is not overwhelming and did not bother my allergies. It reminds of sitting next to the herb garden on an summer night. After a hot humid August day when the air starts to cool and sweet smells of the herbs peak to their fullest. I also purchased her Tart Me Up candle which is pleasant blend of Italian orange, bergamot is mixed with sweet & tart grapefruit. This also a wonderful scent full of citrus perk. The candle burned well near 30 hours as stated in the listing.

Her shop is filled with many fun scent combinations for both guy and gals. There is soap, lotions, candles, lip balms and more. My order was shipped quickly and neatly. The shop also has a rewards program when you buy 10 items from her shop you get one free. See her shop for details.

All together I am extremely happy with the products and service from this wonderful handmade Maine shop! I highly recommend Country Folk Soap.

Review & Giveaway of Cozy Critters - Scented Wax Tarts

I have been looking for affordable and preferably handmade wax tarts for my wax warmer. Not only do these wax tarts have to be affordable, long lasting and smell nice but they also have to not bother my allergies. So I posted in a few of the handmade groups I am in, saying that I am looking for wax tarts to purchase and try. Here is my first review for wax tarts.
Cozy Critters Shop

I received this delightful smelling sampler of wax tarts quickly from Rosie of Cozy Critters. I opened the package finding five lovely boxes each containing cute and colorful shaped wax tarts. As I checked out each scent Birds Of Paradise, Spring Hyacinth, Berry Bliss, Orange Creme and Flower Power I knew which ones I wanted to try first. I started with the Orange creme, it smelled delicious! I left it on for 6 hours and the scent was still going strong! The next day I turned the warmer back on and still the scent was lasting for hours. Each scent lasted for this long, some where around 7-9 hours before they faded enough to replace!

Orange Creme- Smells just like the name suggest and had me craving orange creamsicle. The orange and vanilla notes are lovely, warm  and uplifting and was one of my favorites from the sampler.

Birds of Paradise- Like the flowers these wax tarts have an amazing scent which has a floral aroma with wonderful fruity base notes this was also one of my favorites from the sampler.

Spring Hyacinth- Reminds me of late evening spring with its strong floral scent. I found this one slightly over whelming but my daughters loved it and it did not bother my allergies.

Berry Bliss- Was a crowd pleaser in my house everyone that walked through the door commented on this yummy slightly sweet berry blend. It reminds me of mixed berry tarts baking.

Flower Power- These tarts are a happy blend of deep floral tones with a slight sweetness. Not over whelming at all, this was my oldest daughter's favorite.

I strongly recommend Cozy Critters For wax tarts and candles. Rosie makes them by hand, they are affordable at $2 for 2 ounces the scents are great and long lasting. They come in a variety of scents, colors and shapes making them aesthetically pleasing as well as great value. If you do not see the wax tart scent you are looking in her shop just contact Rosie and she will be happy to help you out. Not only does Rosie make candles and wax tarts but she also makes cute pet pouches. That keep critters cozy.
