Monday's Madness

It has been a week of rain up here in Maine. Flood warning every where.... it was wet, wet, wet! But today looks great.

I will be in my first crafts shows over this summer one in July and one in August. I am very excited but very nervous too! They are small shows that are part of the Brunswick Art Walk and are just about in my back yard! They had one on Friday last week but it was a wash, literally! They started setting up at 3 in the afternoon I watched as they set up since I can see the location from my computer desk. It was overcast and growing dark. By the time everyone was set up at 5 it was starting to rain, shortly after it was thundering and lightning out. No customers in sight Every one packed up their booths and was gone by 7 even though the event was from 5-9. Last year they had a good crowd.... so I am hoping the next ones will be in good weather so the people will be out and about. I would be devastated if my first show was a flop!

I am nearly finished with the girls homeschool portfolios and will be focusing on getting enough product together for the shows this summer!

WooHoo I found my Booth Buddy for The Big Thaw! She owns the shop Am&a-Whimsical Arts and Crafts
 and she will be selling hand made hula hoops and healing comfrey salve, I am very excited now! So much planning and creating new product….. After all a bare table would be no good, lol.

I finally got out with my camera the other morning. It was a great morning for it to! There was a winter fog hovering around the river. The cloud itself was a great capture but it also created a sparkling thick frost on everything within the frost area! Here are a few of my favorite shots. Looking for someone to share my spot, if I get one! My application and check have been sent in. But the applications are pouring in(that’s what I’ve been told) for The Big Thaw in April and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will get in. If I do it will be my first craft fair, very scaring and exciting. Since space is very limiting I would love to share! I think that it will increase the chances of getting in since it is a two for one deal and I would love to have someone there to chat and sell with. Sadly being the recluse I tend to be I do not have many crafty friends. Maybe this will be my chance to open up a bit to the local crafting community and friend a few local artisans.
